Yes. The identity of the prospective employer and the district he/she is representing will be revealed ahead of time to those who are scheduled for a final interview.

Yes. Prospective employers will be wearing his/her identification during the course of the interview.

 

How will we know when the prospective employer has made a decision on who to hire?

To promote transparency, the prospective employer will announce the date when a decision will be made. This will be announce before his/her return to the US.

 

May we contact the prospective employer directly?

We respect the privacy of our prospective employers. Unfortunately, all communication will be made directly to our office until you are physically in care of the school district.

  • We are currently in the process of obtaining appropriate business permits to operate both in the United States and in the Philippines. 

  • We will not hire an intermediary to do our work in the Philippines.

  • We do not guarantee that you will be selected, hired, or teach in the US.

  • For your protection, only "traceable" official bank drafts will be  accepted as form of payments.

Request for visa are based on information submitted to INS by specific school districts. Each school district has the sole authority to assign successful candidates to any school in their district.

Who handles all the paperwork?

Once you have gone through the selection process, the US Embassy will send you an immigration packet with complete instructions on how to fill out the forms necessary to apply for your visa. You make contact our office for assistance if necessary; but for the most part, filling out forms are easy and self-explanatory.

  

(Note that the services of an immigration attorney is not needed at this point; this is a considerable savings to you.)

 

How long will the initial visa be?

H1-B Visas are issued in increment of three years. 

 

Can I have it extended?

The district to which you are employed has the sole right to  petition the INS for your visa extension. 

 

Will I able to sponsor my family to join me in the US?

After six years, the district may sponsor teachers for permanent residency. At this point you may initiate your family petition according to INS rules.

 

Will I eventually become a US citizen?

Yes. Five years after your petition for permanent residency has been approved, you may file your American citizenship.

We will be conducting the initial screening of applicants. We follow strict guidelines in recruiting to ensure that ONLY the best qualified candidates are presented to the prospective employers. 

 

Where will the interviews be conducted?

Initial interviews will be conducted locally. Due to time constraint, final (face-to-face) interviews, if requested by prospective employers, will be scheduled in Manila. In some instances, phone interviews may also be conducted by prospective employers.

 

How will I know if I am scheduled for a final interview with a prospective employer?

You will be notified by either telephone, telegram or email for final interview.

 

Will you refund my initial deposit if I do not pass the final interview by the employer?

Remember that only the best qualified applicants will be scheduled for a final interview with a prospective employer. If for some reasons the prospective employer feels that your qualification does not match their requirement, your initial deposit will be refunded to you in FULL. Our commitment is to help you achieve your own share of the American dream not "milk" you of your hard earned money.

What form of payment do you accept?

Our office will only accept payments in form of Cashier's Check or Bank Draft. NO CASH payment will be accepted.

 

Why do you not accept cash?

In order to avoid unauthorized charges levied to applicants by unscrupulous individuals, only official bank notes will be accepted.

Yes. You have the option of using your refund check as reservations for future consideration. Our job will be to remind you of this option. However, this decision will be left solely to the applicant.

The resume (bio-data) format that is widely used in the Philippines will be accepted. If you wish to see a much desired format, see Resume Format.

 

How do I submit my Resume?

The most effective way to submit your Resume is via email or posting it to our website. This will get to our head office in the US much faster. If you do not have access to Internet, the snail-paced mail will be just the same. See Submit Resume.

 

Is there a deadline to submit Resume?

Resumes are reviewed year-round. However, requests for applicants will be made according to the urgency mandated by prospective employers. 

 

Do I need to make an outright payment to submit my Resume?

No payment will be required to submit a Resume. For more information see Schedule of Payments.

 

Can I submit my Resume directly to the prospective employer?

We will be conducting the initial screening of applicants before submission to prospective employers. We follow strict guidelines in recruiting to ensure that ONLY the best qualified candidates are presented to the prospective employers. Prospective employers will be known only to applicants who pass the initial screenings. 

 

How long will you keep my Resume?

Your resume will be kept in our file for 12 months, after which, it will be discarded.

 

Can I update my Resume and resubmit it?

Yes, you may update your Resume and re-submit it to us.

 

How will I know if my Resume has been submitted to school districts for evaluation?

Unfortunately, our free submission services does not allow us to provide you updates. Remember, we have vested interest in your success. If you pass our initial screening, it is but mutually beneficial for us to make school districts made know of your competence.

Yes, an H-1B Visa can be extended in one year increments past the six-year maximum in cases of lengthy adjudications.

 

Under the H-1B Visa, will I be able to bring my spouse and unmarried children with me?

A spouse or unmarried child of an H-1B visa holder is entitled to an H-4 visa and the same length of stay as the principal. The spouse and dependent minor children cannot accept employment, but can attend school in the United States.
