REQUIREMENTS TO TEACH IN CALIFORNIA:

 

  • Must be proficient in the English language

  • Hold a university degree valid in California

  • Pass the CBEST Exam (California Basic Educational Skills Test)

  • Teaching Credential (Credential will depend on the amount of teaching experience you had, and the result of your transcript evaluation).

  • Valid working visas

 

Foreign Transcript Evaluation

  • For foreign transcripts to be accepted, it must be evaluated by organizations approved by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC).
